ABOUT THE GRANTS
The Hadassah Foundation is requesting proposals from organizations based in the U.S. with annual budgets between $250,000 and $5 million that strengthen the leadership capacity and role of self-identifying women and girls in the U.S. Jewish community. Learn about our funding approach, current grant recipients, and other grant categories at hadassahfoundation.org.
Grant proposals will be accepted until noon ET on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 and must be submitted on this site (Submittable). Download a PDF of the RFP and application questions here.
Grants will be awarded to organizations that:
Promote leadership advancement, either through increasing the number and influence of women in decision-making positions across various sectors, or providing opportunities for girls and youth to acquire and hone their leadership skills with the goal of decreasing gender gaps, and
Address ongoing challenges disproportionately impacting women and girls, including financial security, mental health, physical safety, and upholding women’s rights.
Priority will be given to initiatives that utilize one or more of these key strategies:
· Collective approaches that promote collaboration among organizations or networks, leveraging their shared resources, expertise, and influence.
· Integration of research and advocacy to implement data-driven strategies that enhance the understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by women and girls, and to promote policy changes that are in line with these findings.
· Community education and empowerment to raise public awareness and encourage collective action for the advancement of women’s rights and gender equity.
Grants are for program-based or unrestricted support. Unrestricted funding is awarded only to organizations that utilize a gender lens throughout their work and that have missions aligned with the Hadassah Foundation’s overall goals and funding priorities as described above. Grants are for $80,000, paid out over three years, beginning in January 2026 and ending in December 2028. Payments will be made in January of each year, in the following increments: $30,000 in year one; $30,000 in year two, and $20,000 in year three.
