The Hadassah Foundation leads the movement to revolutionize the role, perception, and impact of all who identify as women and girls in Israel and the American Jewish community. Established in 1998 to refocus the priorities of the Jewish community through creative grantmaking, the Hadassah Foundation has awarded almost $13 million to more than 120 organizations.

The Hadassah Foundation is requesting proposals from U.S.-based organizations with annual budgets between $250,000 and $5 million that work through a gender lens, are creating social change, and strengthen the leadership capacity and role of self-identifying women and girls in the U.S. Jewish community.

Grant proposals will be accepted until noon ET on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, and must be completed through Submittable

Grants of $120,000 each (paid out over three years) will be awarded to three organizations that work to build a future in which women and girls live safer lives as fully participating members and leaders of their societies and communities.

Priority will be given to organizations using the following strategies:

· Collective approaches that promote collaboration among organizations or networks, leveraging their shared resources, expertise, and influence.

· Integration of research and advocacy to implement data-driven strategies that enhance the understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by women and girls, and to promote policy changes that are in line with these findings.

· Community education and empowerment to raise public awareness and encourage collective action for the advancement of women’s rights and gender equity.

Grants are for program-based or unrestricted support. Unrestricted funding is awarded only to organizations that use a gender lens throughout their work and that have missions aligned with the Hadassah Foundation’s overall goals and funding priorities as described above. Grants are paid out over three years, beginning in January 2027 and ending in December 2029. Payments of $40,000 will be made in January of each year. Grant recipients will be required to submit short (1-2 pages) progress reports and updated budgets at the end of each grant year.

If you wish to submit a proposal on behalf of more than one organization for a collaborative initiative, please email hadassahfoundation@hadassah.org for instructions.
